Won’t God Do It: Rev. Dr. Arnetha Bell-Inge
In the latest episode of my podcast “Won’t God Do It,” I have a wonderful conversation with Rev. Dr. Arnetha Bell-Inge.
Dr. Inge grew up on a farm in the Delta area of Mississippi. She is the 13th of 15 children—eight boys and seven girls—and she is the youngest girl. Her father was blessed with 40 acres of land.
Dr. Inge has a BA in Religion from the University of La Verne, La Verne, CA; a Master of Divinity from Claremont School of Theology, Claremont, CA; and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, CA.
Dr. Arnetha Inge is an Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. However, on July 1, 2010, she was appointed Senior Pastor (on loan) to Lynwood United Methodist Church, Lynwood, CA. She served there for six years and, in 2016, was assigned as Senior Pastor to First United Methodist Church-Compton, where she currently serves. Before her appointment to Lynwood, she served as Associate Minister/Minister to Women at Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Los Angeles, California. She is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of La Verne Ecumenical Center for Black Church Studies and serves as a Board member.
Her hobbies include shopping, word games and searches, and caring for her houseplants and decorating her home.
Her passion is working to bring about awareness of abuse and helping victims thrive.
