With an impressive 38-year career in education, Daphne has dedicated her life to shaping young minds and empowering educators. She began her journey in Compton Unified School District, where she taught sixth grade and served as a Reading Resource teacher for five years. She then spent 33 years within the Los Angeles Unified School District, making a lasting impact as an elementary classroom teacher, an advisor for the Proficiency in English Program (PEP), a Literacy Coach, a Math Instructional Coach, and ultimately retiring in 2018 as a Title III Instructional Coach. A natural mentor, Daphne is deeply committed to empowering students, teachers, and parents, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive. At every school she served, she was a driving force in fostering engagement, collaboration, and success among educators. She was instrumental in helping teachers implement best practices, and meet the diverse needs of their students.
