Won’t God Do It: Eric Griggs

Eric Griggs was born and raised in New York City and has one sister who is three years younger. Thirty years ago, he moved to California to pursue a degree in sound engineering. However, drawn by the beautiful weather and his passion for cars, he instead founded a luxury detailing company that quickly grew in popularity.

Through his business, Eric met Bishop Kenneth C. Ulmer, former pastor of Faithful Central Bible Church, and First Lady Togetta Ulmer, after being introduced through the Bishop’s sister, who brought their vehicles in for detailing. It was at Faithful Central that Eric met his beautiful wife, whom he will celebrate 26 years of marriage with this coming October.

Together, they have faithfully served in various areas of ministry for over 28 years. They currently continue to serve on the leadership team, while also leading the Banner Ministry and providing marriage mentorship.

Today, Eric owns a business where he facilitates group sessions focused on mental health and addiction. He is also pursuing a degree in psychology at Azusa Pacific University. Although Eric is not employed by the church, he considers himself a full-time minister, called by God to build a 24-hour house of prayer in Los Angeles, California.

In his free time, Eric enjoys photography, reading, writing, and bike riding.
