Magnolia Science Academy #2

On November 30, 2022, I had the auspicious occasion to be the Professional Development Keynote speaker at Magnolia Science Academy #2 in the San Fernando Valley.

The topic of my presentation was Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (J.E.D.I.) The staff and administration were open to courageous conversations regarding "best practices", strategies, and connections necessary for successful outcomes in "real time" within an urban community of students who face many challenges and obstacles, but still persevere to achieve an exemplary education.

Staff shared their "take-aways" and completed an online survey to share what strategies they were going to implement immediately according to the position they hold at the school.

It was an amazing experience! Kudos to the staff for their commitment to meet the needs of the "whole child".
