She was blessed with a financial reward for the correct answer, which she promptly shared with love with someone else nearby. Madelie Dickson was searching for the best price of a composition book that she could take notes at her weekly Bible study. A young man, whom she did not know, approached her and asked if she knew the name of the 1st winner of American Idol. When she answered correctly, Kelly Clarkson, the man handed her an envelope with $1000.00. A woman seeing this exciting occurrence asked how she could win some money and Madelie reached into the envelope and handed this woman she did not know a $100.00 bill! Later on that day, she actually met Kelly Clarkson!
