Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

On October 22, 2022, my colleague, Dr. Wes Hall, and I had the privilege to speakers on the topic of J.E.D.I.-Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. The audience included more than 500 educators administrators, teachers, counselor, psychologists and board members of the Board of Regents of Prelacy Armenian Schools-Holy Martyrs Ferrahian Armenian School in Encino, California.

The keynote featured a Courageous Conversation about Diversity and a Multicultural Environment and the two breakout sessions focus on "Trauma Informed/Restorative Practices". Discussions included strategies designed to heighten the awareness around race, culture, customs, prejudice, and racism.

The day was filled with the love, commitment, and passion for educating TK-12th grade students and understanding that the Black and Armenian communities have so much in common. The participants were kind, thoughtful, reflective, and energized by the connections we made with one another!
